Saturn Now Owned By Penske

With news of General Motor's bankruptcy fresh in our minds, it should come as no surprise that GM has decided to GM_Corporate_Officesell off their Saturn brand to Penske Motors. The deal is part of a larger plan that General Motors has put in place after filing for bankruptcy on Monday. Saturn originally cost GM somewhere in the neighborhood of $5 billion in the late 1980s when you factor in development costs and factories, but sales peaked at only 286,000 when union issues arose for GM causing all sorts of problems.
